It's not every day outside of 24 that you hear about people getting busted for seditious conspiracy and attempted use of weapons of mass destruction (both of which were actually part of the plot line of last night's episode).
Scary stuff, as members of the Hutaree militia in Michigan were arrested for just that yesterday.

They were white, right? Any word on media outlets using the word "terrorist cell" to describe them, rather than militia? I haven't looked.
I also heard something about some Christian fundies saying that they weren't really Christians because they consulted with an Islamic militia group for help planning.
They were definitely white. Great question about the nomenclature being used. Anecdotally, I've yet to hear anyone call them terrorists in the media. I'm going to update the post to use this language myself.

Serious, actually. After a little googling, it seems the informant was in another (not specifically Islamic) militia, and just happened to be Muslim, and turned them in after receiving and turning down a request for help killing Muslims... That part about some wingnuts saying they were not Christian was probably based on a comment thread at redstate or something, but I heard it from someone else, so who knows?
can we add the "right-wing violence" label to this?
